what's up my good people this is Joey young do you want to feel more energized and Alive each morning I bet you some days you don't wake up feeling motivated so in this video I'm going to show you how to predictably shift yourself into high gear no matter how you woke

up hey leaders I know it's easy to get overwhelmed you've got Personnel problems work deadlines and a to-do list longer than you can count I bet it's been a long time since you've looked at your totally free there's a link in my description right now to help you get more traction this week than you've ever had check it out all right let's talk about the three shifts we need to make to feel more alive and energized each and every day and the first one is to prioritize preparation over comfort you see every morning it's very easy to slide into Comfort we slide into the shower slide over to our coffee machine to turn it on we slide our phone out and scroll through social media it's super easy to get comfortable in the morning what's much better for us is actually those things that Prime us and prepare us for an excited alive engaged day and those things don't always feel as good in the moment for example I love my cold showers in the morning I know it might seem weird but they make me feel so good when I get out and there's studies that show that cold water releases dopamine in your system for hours after you uh take a deep plunge so for me it doesn't feel fun to step been to the shower for the first 3 seconds but I know it's a big piece of preparing my mind for the day and so that's what you need to come up for yourself I'm not saying you need to have cold showers I'm saying you need to find a way to prepare your day and shift your focus from having a comfortable morning an easy morning whatever comes to you T A morning to I'm going to structure my day around intentionally creating events and activities that get me ready for being energized and alive and having an Engaged day whatever that is for you and that actually leads me to my second shift we need to make to feel more alive and engaged each day we need to look forward to something you know like we need to have something that we genuinely find fun and inspiring and exciting each morning there needs to be some aspect of your morning where you can feel like wow I can't wait to go to bed so I can get up and do that it might look like sitting and journaling and dreaming and imagining opportunities each morning it might look like having a dance party while you're making your coffee uh it could be for you looking at your goals board each day and just thinking about how you're going to bring your best self to your meetings and your projects and all the ways you're going to accomplish those goals whatever that thing is that you genuinely look forward to in your morning will trigger that aliveness you're looking for because your morning routine doesn't need to be a drag I don't know why people think the morning routine has to be this like structured regimented wake up at the butt crack of dawn and work out 5 hours before you start work like it doesn't need to be horrible you need to look forward to some aspect of it so you can actually feel engaged and Alive first thing and not like you're dreading waking up in the morning and that leads me to the third big idea the third shift we need to make to feel more engaged and alive and that's we need to move first thing in the morning we need to limber up get our physical bodies going you might need to stretch you could go for a run you could jump on an exercise bike besides the physical benefits of exercise which we all know about there's another benefit to exercising first thing in the morning to get you ready for an alive excited day and and that's when you engage discipline first thing in the morning you establish Mastery and control over your mind when you engage discipline you trigger autonomy and agency which triggers engagement because you believe you have control of your circumstances you want to engage with your circumstances and everything from psychology has shown us that when we're engaged with what we're doing we have more joy when we're not thinking about the future or thinking about the past but we're in the moment we actually feel more peaceful more Joyful We have less anxiety less stress so start the day with discipline and set the tone for your day that you're going to do what you have intended to do and if you exercise first thing in the morning it's a perfect way to get your exercise in but also to establish that you start the day the way you want to you have control of your life you have control of your emotions and your desires it'll be a great benefit for you I hope these three shifts have helped you I know that you can make the change to get from this low emotional state you might be in right now maybe you're feeling burnt out behind to being able to actually look forward to the morning to wake up feeling grateful feeling energized no matter how you woke up on what side of the bed you can control the way that you hit your day by just changing a few things in the morning so I hope this has helped you got this my friends remember you're doing better than you think
